Model United Nations

Model United Nations (also known as Model UN or simply MUN) is an educational simulation that focuses on civics, communications, and multilateral diplomacy. During a Model United Nations conference, students take on roles as foreign diplomats and participate in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization (IGO). Participants research a country, take on a role as a diplomat, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world issues.

United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) is a voluntary youth and student movement for United Nations. It is dedicated to convey the voice of young generation regarding current global issues such as sDG, human rights and development, environment, disarmament, social justice etc. It is an excellent environment for development of organizational and leadership skills, intellectual abilities and research orientation. UNYSAB started promoting Model United Nations since 2002. Currently UNYSAB is working to promote Model United Nations in all the Divisions of Bangladesh with the support of UNIC, Dhaka.

Conference 2017


UNYSAB Model United Nations (UNYSABMUN) 2017 is a four day conference which shall take place from October 06 to 09 at University Of Rajshahi. UNYSABMUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations with a view to echo in understanding the responsibility that entails the birth of human beings, and greater calling to work toward a future that is safer for women, for children; a future free of poverty and hunger; a future that free of pollution and war organized by United Nations Youth and Student association of Bangladesh. The Theme for UNYSABMUN 2017 is ‘Flourishing Youth as Resource for Contributing in SDGs through Innovation, Leadership & Social Security.’ We live in the word that have alleviation, risk, inequity and the world plagued by an imminent war against the unknown entity. At UNYSAB , has been understood the responsibility and great calling to work forward with SDGs, are a universal call to action ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

It will provide the youth with a platform to voice their opinion by forwarding their draft resolutions to the United Nations. It’s going to create the floor to educate the participants about effective communication, globalization, international relations, critical thinking, leadership skills and the ability to adapt and deal with unexpected situations, and exercise diplomacy. It also helps the participants to increase their understanding of multilateral organizations and empower their capacity to negotiate and interact in a qualified international environment UNYSAB is dedicated to convey the voice of the young generation regarding various social and global issues. As always, UNYSAB endeavors to strengthen the voice of youth addressing socioeconomic issue. Through this event UNYSAB once again wants to raise consciousness among university and college student and inspire them to take role in creating better future.

UNYSABMUN this year will constitute of 8 committees, which will include committees like ‘United Nations Development Programme’, ’United Nations Environment Programme’,’ United Nations Security Council’ , ‘United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’, ‘World Trade Organization’, ‘Specialized Committee for Bangladesh Affairs’, ‘European Union (EU) and ‘International Press’ and we have also have one social night along with a mesmerizing campus tour in various location in Rajshahi University to create scope for cultural exchange among the delegate all over the country. UNYSABMUN 2017 will encourage the students to come forward with their opinion while working together, exercise diplomacy and negotiation skill and to build the old boundaries to create new partners.

UNYSAB MUN will heighten the way of achieving the SDGs requires the partnership of Governments, private sector, civil society and citizen to make sure a better planet for future generation.

Eid for Street Children 2014

A project through which we provide new clothes to some destitute children every year to make them smile for a reason at least.

Independence Day 2015

UNYSAB-Rajshahi Divisional Wing observed the 46th Independence and National Day of Bangladesh in a befitting manner amid different programmes.

International Women's Day 2016

To celebrate International Women's Day, UNYSAB-Rajshahi Divisional Wing organised a program at University of Rajshahi on March 8.

United Nations Day 2014

Every year on 24th of October, UNYSAB celebrates UN Day, the founding of the United Nations. In 2014, UNYSAB-Rajshahi Divisional Wing observed the day in University of Rajshahi.


UNYSAB MUN 2014 is the first ever international MUN conference outside Dhaka in Bangladesh held in University of Rajshahi from October 29 to November 01, 2014.


UNYSAB MUN 2015 is the biggest and prestigious ever 4-day-long international MUN conference outside Dhaka in Bangladesh held in University of Rajshahi from September 04 to September 07.

World Environment Day 2014

To create awareness regarding the safety of environment in University of Rajshahi, UNYSAB-Rajshahi Divisional Wing hold a campus cleaning program on June 05, 2014, World Environment Day.
